About Me
My name is Erfan. I hold an MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering, specializing in Magnetoencephalography (MEG). I completed my master's at Shahid Beheshti University (SBU), where I developed an automatic preprocessing pipeline (MEGAP) for MEG data. During my bachelor’s studies in Biomedical Engineering, I investigated white matter alterations in OCD using DTI images. My findings were published in Human Brain Mapping, exploring the relationship between structural brain changes and OCD subgroups.
Research Interest
My research focuses on brain activity mapping, with particular interest in developing and refining methods for MEG data preprocessing and source reconstruction. A key part of my works addresses large-scale challenges in handling and analyzing extensive MEG datasets by designing automated, robust pipelines. By analyzing spatial and temporal brain dynamics, I aim to understand how these internal neural representations emerge and change during different cognitive states.
